Social distancing. PPE. Staggered entry into supermarkets.

All unfamiliar concepts that, thanks to #covid19, have become our new 'normal'.

However, one comfortingly familiar habit is online shopping. Currently, almost a third of consumers buy products online weekly or more frequently and, although shops are starting to open their doors again in the UK, this pandemic could permanently change shopping habits.

As consumer habits change, so must those of retailers.

If you’re a retailer, now's the time to reflect on your web presence and the effectiveness of your e-commerce platform as the appearance and usability of your website will attract consumers in the same way as a shop front.

Based on surveys by @AmazonPay and @PwC, we take a look at these online buying habits - from mobile phone usage to the importance of trust - and offer advice on how a retailer can create an e-commerce website that's built for their customer.
